Post-COVID-Centre of the Uniklinikum Erlangen
Post-COVID syndrome is a disease that poses major challenges for patients, doctors and researchers. The Uniklinikum Erlangen would like to contribute to a better understanding of the consequences of COVID-19 disease. The aim is to be able to treat patients effectively in the future.
The interdisciplinary Post-COVID-Centre of the Uniklinikum Erlangen -- Department of Ophthalmology (Prof. Dr. Friedrich E. Kruse), Department of Medicine 3 – Rheumatology and Immunology (Prof. Dr. med. univ. Georg Schett) and Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (spokes-woman of the centre, Prof. Dr. (TR) Yesim Erim) -- is therefore a point of contact for all those affected who are struggling with severe and complex after-effects of COVID-19.
Direct patient care is currently provided by Dr. Johannes Krehbiel, Dr. Friederike Fuchs and Dr. Eva Dotzler (Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy), PD Dr. Jürgen Rech (Department of Medicine 3 – Rheumatology and Immunology) and Prof. Dr. Christian Mardin ( Department of Ophthalmology).
